Hull City have option to sign ex-QPR man permanently from Everton

Hull city do have the option to sign loanee Josh Bowler on a permanent basis from Everton.

However, the Tigers would have to fork out a hefty £5 million fee to land him this summer, as per a report by Hull Live back in November.

Bowler, who is 21 years old, joined Grant McCann’s side on a season-long loan last July and has made 26 appearances this season in all competitions for the Yorkshire club, chipping in with a single goal.

The winger’s contract at Goodison Park expires in June 2021, but he could leave the Toffees over the coming months if Hull put their hands in their pockets.

Bowler started his career with spells as a youngster at Fulham and Aldershot Town before joining QPR in 2013. He played once for the Hoops’ first-team, which came on the final day of the 2016/17 season in a Championship fixture against Norwich City.

Everton then signed him in July that summer and he has since been a key player for their Under-23’s side.

Bowler’s chances of breaking into the Toffees’ senior side at the moment are slim meaning he could be weighing up his options over the coming months.

It is unlikely Hull will fork out £5 million to sign anyone this summer meaning you can all but rule out the chances of him moving to the KCOM Stadium permanently. However, going back to the Tigers on loan again for the next campaign is not beyond the realms of possibility.
